BACARDÍ teamed up with Joy Crookes to help Gen Z rediscover the joy of dancing – without worrying about likes or judgement.
Research shows 73% of Gen Z feel self-conscious on the dancefloor, and over half worry about people watching them. Older generations, however, still dance freely, inspiring younger people when they join in.
To bring this back, BACARDÍ hosted an all-ages dance party on 5 November 2025 at Jumbi in Peckham. Guests danced alongside their “Greats” – family and friends from older generations – to live performances and DJ sets.
Joy Crookes performed an exclusive set, while Natty Bo, a south London ska and reggae legend, kept the floor jumping with high-energy rhythms.
BACARDÍ and Coca-Cola served drinks throughout the night, continuing their tradition of bringing people together for unforgettable nights.
The event reminded everyone that dancing for fun, not for social media, feels completely different – freer, happier, and totally judgement-free.
