Apple is finally set to launch the Apple Watch Ultra 3 later this year, according to analyst Jeff Pu from GF Securities in Hong Kong. His prediction suggests the new rugged smartwatch will arrive alongside the Apple Watch Series 11 and the iPhone 17 lineup this fall.
Apple last released a major Ultra model in 2023 with the Apple Watch Ultra 2. In 2024, the company skipped a full update and only introduced a black titanium color. By the time Ultra 3 arrives, it will have been nearly two years since fans saw any real changes to the series.
Analysts believe the long wait could lead to major upgrades. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has hinted that the Ultra 3 may include satellite connectivity and 5G support. These features could explain why Apple took extra time to develop the new model.
Pu also shared other details about Apple’s 2025 plans. He expects Apple to launch a new device called the “HomePad” tablet later this year. However, he believes the AirPods Pro 3 might be delayed until 2026, which conflicts with other recent reports.
For users still holding onto older Ultra models, this upcoming release could finally bring the meaningful upgrades they’ve been waiting for.
More details are expected as Apple’s annual fall event approaches.
