Neuromancer - Apple TV+

Apple TV+ Drops First Teaser for Cyberpunk Classic ‘Neuromancer’ Series

Apple TV+ is bringing a pivotal story of the cyberpunk genre to the screen. The streaming service has officially started production on a TV adaptation of William Gibson’s legendary novel Neuromancer, confirming the news with a newly released first look teaser.

The 10-episode series is developed for TV by Graham Roland, best known for his work on “Dark Winds.” Neuromancer stars Callum Turner as Case, a gifted but broken hacker desperate for a second chance.

Briana Middleton plays Molly, the fierce and iconic “razor-girl” assassin, while Mark Strong takes on the role of their mysterious employer, Armitage. The series is set in a dark, high-tech future, where corporations control society and hackers like Case fight for survival.

Neuromancer is famous for inventing many key cyberpunk terms and ideas, including “cyberspace,” “the matrix,” and futuristic concepts like direct brain-computer interfaces. The novel’s influence can be seen in countless sci-fi stories that followed.

While there’s no release date yet, production is officially underway. Filming started with cast members in Japan last winter, focusing on the book’s Tokyo scenes, and now the rest of the series has picked up.

Adaptation of Neuromancer has long been anticipated by fans, as the novel has never before appeared as a film or TV show. Now, with Apple TV+ behind the project, both newcomers and longtime cyberpunk fans can look forward to seeing one of science fiction’s most influential stories come to life.

Stay tuned for more news and updates as Apple TV+ brings Neuromancer to the screen.
