Apple Rumored to Release AirPods Pro 3 With Cameras

Apple may release a new AirPods Pro 3 model in 2026 with one key upgrade: infrared (IR) cameras. The cameras are expected to enable advanced AI features and improve how the earbuds interact with the outside world.

The current AirPods Pro 3 already improved audio quality and Active Noise Cancellation, but this new model would target a higher-end market. The IR cameras would allow Apple to implement Visual Intelligence for enhanced user experience.

Leakers suggest the new model might replace pressure-sensitive buttons with hand gesture controls, though both features could be supported. This would make it easier to use the growing number of AirPods features.

Aside from the cameras and possible gesture support, the AirPods Pro 3 will likely remain similar to the existing model. The update would come at a higher price point, offering users a premium option.

This mirrors Apple’s strategy with the AirPods 4, which offers versions with and without Active Noise Cancellation. Fans may get a choice between the standard AirPods Pro 3 and the upgraded camera model.
