Apple has officially announced the iPhone 17 Air during its September 9 “Awe Dropping” event, introducing the thinnest and lightest iPhone to date.
Measuring just 5.6mm thick, the device features a 6.5-inch ProMotion display with Always-On Display and 3,000 nits peak brightness for excellent outdoor visibility.
The iPhone 17 Air is eSIM-only, offering worldwide connectivity, and promises all-day battery life. Apple has also unveiled new MagSafe accessories, which provide up to 40 hours of video playback.
Users can choose from two custom cases—a translucent Frost or Shadow option, and a polycarbonate version in four colors—as well as a cross-body strap for added convenience.
Apple calls the camera and component layout the “plateau”, integrating the rear camera, front camera, speaker, and A19 chip into a compact, sleek design.
The iPhone 17 Air is available in four colors, continuing Apple’s push toward lightweight, innovative designs without compromising performance.
