Apple iOS 18.3: Update Now to Fix Fix 29 Security Bugs

Apple has released iOS 18.3, addressing 29 security vulnerabilities, including a critical flaw actively exploited in attacks.

The update is available for iPhone XS and later models, as well as compatible iPads.

Key Vulnerabilities Fixed

  • CoreMedia Exploit (CVE-2025-24085): A flaw allowing malicious apps to elevate privileges, reportedly exploited in real-world attacks.
  • Kernel Bugs (CVE-2025-24107): Issues allowing malicious apps to gain root privileges or execute code with Kernel-level access.
  • WebKit Vulnerabilities: Bugs in Safari’s engine, including a command injection risk.
  • AirPlay and Passkeys Issues: Flaws that could lead to app crashes, unauthorized access, or remote code execution.

Why Update Is Critical

The vulnerabilities fixed in iOS 18.3 pose significant risks, including privilege escalation and system compromise.

With one flaw already exploited, updating promptly is essential for security.

Update Availability

iOS 18.3 is compatible with:

  • iPhone XS and later
  • iPad Pro (13-inch, 12.9-inch 3rd gen, 11-inch 1st gen, and later)
  • iPad Air 3rd gen and later
  • iPad 7th gen and later
  • iPad mini 5th gen and later

Apple has also enabled AI features for iPhone 15 models and above in this update. Users can adjust settings if needed.
