Apple Back To School Sale

Apple’s annual Back to School promotion for university students in the United States and Canada is expected to launch this week, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

This year’s sale will likely offer a free Apple gift card with the purchase of a Mac or an iPad, similar to last year’s promotion.

The sale, which typically runs until September, aims to help students and educators save on Apple products. Historically, Apple has provided gift cards worth up to $150 for Mac purchases and up to $100 for iPad purchases.

This year, the sale may focus on pushing the new M2 iPad Air and M4 iPad Pro models, which were recently released.

Apple began advertising its Back to School sale on social media platforms, including Instagram, with ads featuring Macs and the text “Buy Mac for university or college with education savings. Plus get a gift card for up to $200.” The ad suggests that the same $150 discount offered last year in the United States will be repeated.

The sale will provide additional incentives for students, including trade-in credit, a 20% discount on AppleCare+, and three free months of Apple Music. Students can also enjoy a bundled subscription of Apple Music and Apple TV+ for just $5.99/month.

The Back to School sale is a significant event for Apple, as it helps the company clear inventory of older products before the release of new models. This year, the sale may help Apple work through its inventory of old Macs before the debut of new M4-powered models.

Stay tuned for more updates on Apple’s Back to School promotion for North American students.
