Another classic PS2 game is reportedly making its way to PS4 and PS5 soon. According to a new leak, Legacy of Kain: Defiance could be the next title to join the PlayStation Plus Premium Classics Catalog.
The information comes from Taiwan’s game rating board, which has listed Legacy of Kain: Defiance for both PS4 and PS5. While Sony has not officially announced the game yet, this kind of leak has happened before, and the Taiwanese board has a history of revealing games early.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance was originally released in 2003 for the PlayStation 2. It is the fifth and final game in the Legacy of Kain series, which began on the original PlayStation. Developed by Crystal Dynamics—the same studio known for the Tomb Raider series—the game earned positive reviews at the time, with a score of 75 on Metacritic.
The story of Defiance brought closure to the popular action-adventure series, but despite its dedicated fan base, no new entries followed. Now, with this new leak, it seems PlayStation fans may soon get a chance to replay the game on modern hardware or experience it for the first time.
If the leak is accurate, Legacy of Kain: Defiance will likely arrive on PS Plus Premium and also be available for separate purchase on the PlayStation Store.
For now, Sony has not commented on the leak. Fans can expect more official news in the coming weeks if the rating proves to be true.
PlayStation continues to expand its PS2 classics lineup, giving players more reasons to explore older games on PS4 and PS5.
