Among Us is getting a big upgrade! The popular multiplayer game, known for its intense social deduction gameplay, is now going 3D. The new version, called Among Us 3D, was officially announced today.
The game will bring a first-person view of the spaceship, making the experience more immersive. While not much has been revealed yet, players will get to try a playable demo during Steam Next Fest next week.
The game will also support cross-play with Among Us VR, allowing players to join the same lobbies. The announcement trailer shows The Skeld map in 3D but does not confirm if other maps will be included at launch.
Developers have also mentioned that the game will feature returning and new minigames, proximity voice chat, and more cosmetic options for players to customize their characters.
While the release date is still unknown, the arrival of a demo suggests that the full launch may not be too far away. Fans of the game are eager to see how the shift to 3D gameplay will change the experience.
