At one of Germany’s biggest tech retailers, AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT is selling almost as much as the entire NVIDIA RTX 50 series combined. The data, gathered by @TechEpiphanyYT, shows the RX 9070 XT sold around 640 units in a single week at Mindfactory, while all RTX 50 series GPUs combined sold just 655 units.
This shows a big shift in customer preference, with AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs getting more attention than NVIDIA’s latest lineup. The second-best-selling GPU was also an AMD card—the RX 9060 XT—with around 370 units sold, most of which were the 16 GB version. The 8 GB model barely moved, with only 10 units sold.
The data also highlights a strong demand for 16 GB graphics cards. In fact, nearly 80% of all GPUs sold at the retailer had 16 GB of VRAM. In comparison, 8 GB GPUs only made up 7.8% of sales. This shows that most gamers now want more VRAM for better gaming performance and future-proofing.
One reason for NVIDIA’s slower sales may be pricing. Even though the RTX 5080 got a price cut of €100–150, it still couldn’t match the RX 9070 XT’s popularity. The non-XT version of the RX 9070 only sold about 20 units, likely due to its higher price and weaker specs.
In terms of brands, XFX leads AMD GPU sales at Mindfactory with 530 units sold, followed closely by PowerColor. These two are currently the most trusted brands among German buyers.
This data clearly shows that AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs—especially those with 16 GB of VRAM—are in high demand, while NVIDIA may need to adjust pricing or product strategy to keep up.
