A$AP Rocky has shared an exciting update on his highly anticipated album ‘Don’t Be Dumb‘. In a recent interview, he revealed that the album is now in the mixing and mastering stage.
After years of anticipation and delays, Rocky is eager to release the album, which has been six years in the making since his last project, ‘Testing’.
“I’m in the mixing and mastering realm of it, but I think quite frankly, people are tired of hearing about updates about the album,” said Rocky.
“The album’s done. I just want to drop it. I don’t want to keep saying what I’m going to do and I want to give people what I’ve been promising them for a long-ass time.”
Rocky mentioned that fans are ready for new music and are no longer interested in hearing about the album’s progress. He added, “They just want to hear some sht just to see where I’m at, and I promise I got some new sht in store. I’m challenging myself. It’s like anything, I approach it with a different tactic, degree, or finesse.”
Originally scheduled for release on August 30, 2024, the album was delayed due to sample clearances and leaks. It is now expected to drop in early 2025.
The album will feature producers such as Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean, Madlib, and Metro Boomin. So far, singles like “Highjack“ featuring Jessica Pratt, “Tailor Swif”, and “Ruby Rosary” featuring J. Cole have already been released.
Despite the delays, Rocky remains optimistic, promising a polished sound that builds on his past work. Fans are eagerly awaiting the official release date of ‘Don’t Be Dumb’, as the mixing and mastering process continues.
