Adobe Launches Firefly Mobile App for AI Image and Video Creation

Adobe Firefly App

Adobe has launched the Firefly mobile app for iOS and Android, allowing users to create AI-generated images and videos directly on their phones. This is Adobe’s first mobile app for its powerful Firefly AI platform, which was previously only available on the web.

The Firefly app lets users generate high-quality images and videos from simple text prompts. It also includes advanced editing tools like Generative Fill, which can add or remove elements in photos, and Generative Extension, which expands images using AI. These features help users create and edit visuals easily on the go.

Adobe’s app integrates many AI models from Adobe and other partners, such as OpenAI, Google’s Imagen, and Runway. This variety gives creators many style options to explore. Projects created on the app sync automatically with Adobe Creative Cloud, so users can continue editing on desktop programs like Photoshop and Premiere Pro without losing progress.

The app also includes Firefly Boards, a tool for team collaboration and moodboarding with both images and videos. Adobe confirms that all AI models are trained only on licensed or public domain content, ensuring that creations are safe for commercial use without copyright risks.

The Firefly app is free to download and offers basic AI image generation. Access to premium AI models and features requires a subscription starting at about $10 per month, similar to the web version.

With this launch, Adobe expands its AI creative tools to mobile users worldwide, making it easier to create and collaborate anytime, anywhere.
