Beats has relaunched its popular Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker with a refreshed design and enhanced features. The new 2024 Beats Pill aims to reclaim its spot in the competitive wireless audio market.

The updated Pill retains its recognizable capsule shape but has been “completely redesigned and reengineered.” Key improvements include a more powerful audio system, extended battery life, and versatile connectivity.

The new Pill boasts a re-engineered woofer and tweeter, delivering 28% more motor force and 90% more air volume displacement compared to the previous model. This results in a bigger sound with reduced low-end distortion.

Battery life has doubled to 24 hours per charge, a significant upgrade over the 12-hour runtime of the Pill Plus. Connectivity enhancements include Bluetooth 5.3 and a USB-C port for charging the speaker, devices, and lossless audio playback.

Other features are IP67 dust/water resistance, a detachable lanyard, and the ability to wirelessly pair two Pill speakers for stereo. The Pill integrates seamlessly with iOS and Android.

Priced at $149.99, the new Pill is $50 less than its predecessor. While still limited to mono sound, the revamped speaker offers a compelling package of upgrades that should appeal to Beats fans.

With the Pill’s return, Beats aims to reclaim market share and challenge established players. The 2024 Beats Pill balances affordability, functionality, and the iconic Beats brand identity that has made it a popular choice.
