The latest rap beef between Cardi B and BIA is heating up.
On Saturday night, rapper BIA previewed a new diss track aimed at Cardi B. The song appears to be a response to lyrics Cardi delivered on the “Wanna Be” remix with GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion, where she seemed to throw shade at BIA.
In her new diss record, BIA didn’t hold back, rapping “Put it on your gang that they ain’t fk you in / Put it on your name since you so gangsta like your fking friends / Put it on your husband since you like lying on your vows / I write my own verses, and I can do this s**t for hours.”
BIA also alleged that Cardi copied her style and claimed the beef might involve BIA’s ex Pardison Fontaine, who previously worked with Cardi.
After hearing the preview, Cardi B went live on Instagram to respond, making it clear she is not a fan of BIA’s work. “I’m so appalled at the fact that she thinks that I’m copying her or that I’m stealing from her because there’s nothing that she does that I like,” Cardi stated. “I don’t like her music. I don’t like her style. I don’t like how she look. I don’t like nothing about her. I don’t even see the b**ch.”
Cardi revealed the two rappers had a heated phone call exchanging insults. This latest diss track has reignited the simmering feud between the two artists.
The origins of the conflict trace back to Cardi’s verse on the “Wanna Be” remix, where she appeared to take shots at BIA, rapping “Guess I’m a teacher since you wanna sub me / She did what? Had no idea / Thought she was on the shelf, IKEA.”
With both rappers now trading verbal jabs on wax, this beef shows no signs of letting up anytime soon.
