Spotify has made a special list called “The 100 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of the Streaming Era.” This list celebrates important and influential hip-hop songs released since 2015.

Earlier this year, Spotify started a program called “Spotify CLASSICS.” They first made a list of the best classic hip-hop and R&B albums from the streaming era. That list included albums like Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN., Future’s DS2, Jay-Z’s 4:44, and Travis Scott’s ASTROWORLD.

Then in April, Spotify published a list of the 100 greatest R&B songs of the streaming era.

This new hip-hop songs list is the latest part of the CLASSICS program. Hip-hop experts at Spotify chose the 100 best and most important hip-hop songs released since 2015.

Spotify’s hip-hop team looked at thousands of songs. They chose the 100 greatest based on quality, cultural impact, and how influential and replay-worthy the songs are. Big streaming numbers didn’t matter for making the list.
