HMD appears to be working on two new budget smartphones for India — the Crest 2 and Crest 2 Pro. Fresh leaks have revealed the specs, pricing, and expected launch timeline for both devices.
The information comes from tipster @smashx_60 on X and should be taken with a grain of salt for now.
Both phones are said to share a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 5G chip, a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and Android 16 out of the box.
The key differences lie in the details. The standard Crest 2 gets a 90Hz display and a 50MP single rear camera with 6GB of RAM. The Crest 2 Pro steps up to a 120Hz display, a 64MP triple rear camera setup, a 50MP selfie camera, and 8GB of RAM.
On pricing, the Crest 2 is reportedly set at Rs 14,999, while the Crest 2 Pro could come in at Rs 16,999. If accurate, both phones would sit comfortably in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment.
That’s a competitive space, and the specs on paper look solid for the price — especially with the large battery and AMOLED display on both models.
HMD is expected to launch the Crest 2 series sometime between July and September 2026. The brand has not confirmed any of this officially yet.
