Spotify has launched a new feature called Smart Reorder. It lets Premium users automatically rearrange their playlists to sound more like professional DJ mixes.
The feature works inside Spotify’s Mix tool. Users just open a playlist, tap Mix, then choose Smart Reorder. Spotify’s system will instantly reorganize the songs for smoother transitions.
Smart Reorder uses BPM (beats per minute) and musical key to sort tracks. This helps match song energy and harmony. The result is a playlist that flows naturally without awkward jumps.
Spotify says Premium users have already streamed over 220 million hours of mixed playlists since Mix launched in 2025. The new feature builds on that by making the process faster and easier.
The tool is especially useful for parties, workouts, or long listening sessions. It removes the need to manually arrange songs for better flow.
The feature also helps new DJs and producers. It gives them automatic sequencing suggestions similar to professional DJ software.
Smart Reorder is available now for Spotify Premium users. With one tap, any playlist can feel like a live DJ set.
