Hulk is back. And not the Smart Hulk we’ve seen since Avengers: Endgame.
Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner will return in full, angry Hulk form in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, hitting theaters on July 31, 2026.
Fans first got a peek at the green powerhouse through a brief leak on Brazilian retailer Piticas, which showed Hulk in official promotional art. Marvel Studios confirmed the look shortly after.
Savage Hulk will be facing Spider-Man, marking the first time he battles an Avenger on-screen since Thor: Ragnarok. Leaks, including a LEGO set, hint at an epic clash in New York.
Banner has been Smart Hulk since Endgame, merging his brain with his brute strength. But now, it seems a mystery villain may force the return of the classic, rage-fueled version.
In Brand New Day, Banner also takes on a new role as a college professor, mentoring Peter Parker while helping him face a terrifying new threat. Some fans speculate he might even remember Peter’s secret identity.
Villains like Boomerang, Torantual, and Scorpion (played by Michael Mando) will appear, but it’s Savage Hulk stealing the spotlight.
This could mark the start of a wider Hulk revival in the MCU, even if he isn’t part of Avengers: Doomsday. Fans are already counting down to July.
