ZAYN, Penélope Cruz, Stevie Wonder Named “Anti-Israel” in Epstein Files

Recent unsealed documents from the Jeffrey Epstein case include a 2014 email that lists several celebrities as “anti-Israel.” The email was sent by the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS), a conservative pro-Israel news outlet, and later forwarded to Epstein.

The email appears to track public figures based on their criticism of Israeli policies, support for Palestinian rights, or involvement in the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. It also linked some celebrities to their brand endorsements at the time.

Notable names in the email include:

  • Zayn Malik — Cited for posting #FreePalestine on social media during the 2014 Gaza conflict.
  • Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem — Signed a letter describing Israel’s Operation Protective Edge in Gaza as “genocide.”
  • Stevie Wonder — Withdrew from a 2012 fundraiser for the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF).

Other figures mentioned in reports include Emma Thompson, Roger Waters, Danny Glover, and Russell Brand.

The document does not suggest any wrongdoing by these celebrities or any connection to Epstein’s crimes. It simply reflects how their public political positions were categorized by a pro-Israel newsletter.

The email dates from mid-2014 and resurfaced online in early February 2026, prompting discussions about celebrity activism and the potential professional risks of expressing pro-Palestinian views. There is no evidence that Epstein or anyone else took action against the listed celebrities.

Experts note that this illustrates historical patterns of monitoring public figures for political stances, though in this case it was limited to a newsletter circulated to Epstein.
