A Chinese modder has created a custom gaming console that combines three major platforms into one machine. The project, called the Ningtendo PXBOX 5, houses a PlayStation 5, an Xbox Series S, and a Nintendo Switch 2 in a single tower.
The creator, known as 小宁子 (XNZ), stripped each console down to its core components. Instead of stacking them, he rebuilt the systems around one shared structure to save space and improve airflow.
At the center of the build is a custom triangular aluminum heatsink. All three motherboards are mounted around it and cooled by a single high-powered industrial fan.
Despite the compact design, cooling performance remains strong. During heavy gaming sessions on the PS5, internal temperatures reportedly stay below 60°C.
Power is handled by a 250-watt supply and an Arduino-based control system. When one console is active, the others automatically shut down to reduce heat and power use.
Some features were sacrificed to make the build possible. There are no disc drives, only one console can run at a time, and the Switch 2 is permanently docked inside the system.
XNZ has no plans to sell the PXBOX 5, citing high costs and complex custom parts. Still, the project has impressed gamers online and sparked new ideas about future console design.
“The goal was not just to make it work,” XNZ said. “It was to show that all three platforms can exist together if cooling is done right.”
