The TGR Haas F1 Team has officially revealed the design and livery of its 2026 Formula 1 car, the VF-26. The digital launch took place on January 19, 2026, marking the team’s first car under its expanded title partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR).
The VF-26 introduces a clear visual shift for the American team. Haas has moved away from the dark, carbon-heavy look used in recent seasons. Instead, the new car features a cleaner and bolder design that aligns with Formula 1’s major technical changes for 2026.
The most noticeable change is the color scheme. The VF-26 is mostly white, with strong red and black accents. Toyota Gazoo Racing branding appears prominently on the engine cover, shark fin, and front wing. The design reflects the shared “People, Product, Pipeline” philosophy of the Haas-Toyota partnership and signals Toyota’s deepest involvement in Formula 1 since 2009.
Unlike the 2025 car, which exposed large areas of raw carbon to reduce weight, the VF-26 uses a glossy white finish. This gives the car a more traditional factory-team appearance and highlights the team’s evolving identity.

Technically, the VF-26 is built around Formula 1’s 2026 regulations. The car is smaller, lighter, and designed to be more agile. It uses a Ferrari-supplied power unit with an equal split between internal combustion and electric power. The car will run on 100 percent sustainable fuel.
The new rules also introduce manual active aerodynamics, with moveable wings and lower overall downforce. Renders show a pushrod suspension setup at both the front and rear, along with narrower Pirelli tires to match the reduced car weight.
Haas enters this new era with leadership stability. Ayao Komatsu continues as Team Principal and is overseeing the transition into the new regulations. The driver lineup remains unchanged from 2025, with Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman staying with the team.
Ocon brings experience and plays a key role in car development, while Bearman begins his second full season in Formula 1. Komatsu said the development pace is extremely fast and stressed the importance of driver continuity during such a major regulation change.
The VF-26 will make its first on-track appearance during pre-season testing in Barcelona, which begins on January 26, 2026. This test will offer the first real look at how the Haas-Toyota partnership performs beyond digital renders and into competitive racing conditions.
