Apple has officially announced the iPhone 17 during its September 9 event, introducing a range of display, performance, and camera upgrades over the previous generation.

The new iPhone 17 features a 6.3-inch ProMotion display with thinner bezels and a dynamic refresh rate up to 120Hz, paired with an Always-On display. The screen reaches a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and is protected by Ceramic Shield 2 with a 7-layer anti-reflective coating, offering improved durability and outdoor visibility.

Powering the device is the A19 (3nm) chipset, which Apple says is 20% faster than the iPhone 16 Pro Max and more energy-efficient. The phone runs on iOS 26 and supports fast charging, reaching 50% battery in just 20 minutes. Impressively, 10 minutes of charging provides up to 8 hours of video playback.

iPhone 17 Features

Camera improvements include a 48MP main camera, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a front-facing ‘Center Stage’ camera that automatically adjusts the frame using AI. The front camera also supports a larger square sensor, allowing both vertical and horizontal captures with enhanced versatility.

The iPhone 17 starts with 256GB of storage and will be available in five colors. Apple did not immediately reveal pricing or exact release dates.
