French streamer Raphaël Graven, known online as Jean Pormanove, has died at the age of 46 during a livestream on August 18, 2025. The incident occurred in Contes, near Nice, France, on the 10th day of a marathon stream on the Kick platform. Pormanove was asleep when he passed away, and his co-streamers, Naruto and Safine, did not notice for some time.

Pormanove had over 550,000 followers across TikTok, Twitch, and Kick. He was known for gaming content, including FIFA 22, Grand Theft Auto V, and Fortnite. In recent streams, he took part in controversial “humiliation streams.”

Reports suggest he experienced physical violence, sleep deprivation, and toxic substance ingestion during the 10-day broadcast. Days before his death, he sent a message to his mother saying he felt “held hostage” by the streaming setup.

The Nice prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation but has found no evidence of suspicious activity so far. An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death. In January 2025, Naruto and Safine were briefly detained over suspected abuse of vulnerable people, including Pormanove, but were released after denying wrongdoing.

Naruto announced Pormanove’s death on Instagram, describing him as a “brother” and asking fans not to share videos of his final moments. Social media clips showing Pormanove’s mistreatment have prompted public outrage, with many calling for justice and stricter moderation on livestreaming platforms.

The streaming community is mourning Pormanove’s loss while highlighting the dangers of extreme content creation.
