Tomorrowland Thailand Approved for Five Years, First in Asia

Tomorrowland Music Festival

Thailand’s Cabinet has approved a five-year agreement to host Tomorrowland Thailand, making it the first Asian country to hold a full-scale edition of the world-famous Belgian festival.

According to Nation Thailand, the event will run annually from 2026 to 2030 and is expected to attract more than one million attendees during that period.

Organisers project the festival will generate over 21 billion baht (about £483 million) for the country’s economy through tourism and related industries.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will lead the organisation in partnership with Tomorrowland International or its local joint venture, We Are One.World (Thailand) Company Limited.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said the event would go beyond music performances, providing job opportunities and knowledge transfer by involving local communities in the planning and execution.

She acknowledged some public concerns about potential changes in organiser commitment and the festival’s effect on tourism.

The first Tomorrowland Thailand will take place in Chonburi, eastern Thailand, in December 2026. The confirmation follows months of speculation and official statements hinting at the deal.

Tomorrowland was recently named the No.1 Festival in the World in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals poll.
