Mysterious Entity Joins Top 5 Ethereum Holders with Huge 171K ETH Purchase

Ethereum

A mysterious buyer has quietly built a large Ethereum reserve, accumulating 171,015 ETH in the past week. This entity created six new wallets and transferred Ethereum tokens from several large trading wallets to these new accounts.

Data shows the funds came through major platforms like BitGo, FalconX, and Galaxy Digital, suggesting institutional involvement. Unlike other big buyers who often use Binance, this buyer’s identity remains unknown.

Ethereum recently rose above $3,900, boosting hopes for a continued price rally. The new reserve places this unknown institution among the top five largest holders of Ethereum, surpassing major players like Coinbase.

Meanwhile, other companies continue to buy large amounts of ETH. SharpLink Gaming added 21,959 ETH to their holdings, bringing their total to 543,898 ETH. BitMine leads as the biggest corporate holder with 833,100 ETH.

Ethereum’s popularity grows as it is widely used for staking and decentralized finance (DeFi). About 30% of all Ethereum is now locked in staking, increasing demand and reducing supply.

Overall, institutional interest in Ethereum is rising, with strategic reserves reaching over 3 million ETH, signaling strong confidence in the network’s future.
