A Harris County deputy constable pulled her gun on her sister’s boyfriend during a family argument on August 7, 2025. The deputy was off duty but wearing her uniform when the incident happened.
The dispute started after Michael Evans took his girlfriend’s cell phone during an argument at her home. The deputy, who is the girlfriend’s sister, chased Evans in her personal car and confronted him. She demanded that he return the phone.
A video posted on X shows the deputy pointing her gun at Evans and shouting, “Give me the phone! Play with me, play with me.” Evans stayed calm and gave the phone back. No one was hurt, and no shots were fired.
The deputy has been moved to desk duty while Harris County investigates the case. Constable Alan Rosen said the investigation will be open and transparent.
Evans’ cousin, Kesha Ross, criticized the deputy’s actions, saying, “You can’t take the law into your own hands just because you’ve got a badge.” The incident has raised public concerns about police behavior and responsibility.
