Gemini App Can Now Turn Your Ideas into Illustrated Storybooks and Comics

Google’s Gemini app has launched a creative new feature that allows users to make personalized, illustrated storybooks, complete with narration.

The tool is designed with families in mind. To start, users simply describe the story they want to create. Gemini can even pull inspiration from uploaded photos and files.

For example, parents can ask the app to explain complex topics like the solar system to a child or teach life lessons through fun characters—like using a kind elephant as the main character.

Users can also upload a child’s drawing and turn it into a full story. Or they can transform vacation photos into magical adventures. Gemini supports a variety of art styles including comic books, claymation, pixel art, and coloring books.

Each storybook is 10 pages long, with AI-generated images and optional audio narration. Users can choose between higher or lower-pitched voices and download or share their final book.

This new feature works in over 45 languages and is available now on the Gemini app for both mobile and desktop.
