Brooke Hogan, the daughter of late wrestling star Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea), has officially removed herself from his will. She made the decision in 2023, and it means she will not receive any inheritance from her father, who died on July 24, 2025, at age 71 from cardiac arrest in Clearwater, Florida.
Sources told TMZ that Brooke, now 37, made the choice because she did not trust the people managing her father’s estate. She also wanted to avoid future legal battles over money or assets. The decision is linked to a long-standing family rift, made worse by Hulk Hogan’s 2015 racism scandal.
In 2015, a leaked transcript from a 2007 sex tape revealed Hulk Hogan using racist language, including the N-word, while talking about Brooke’s dating life. At the time, she was dating a Black man. The backlash led WWE to cut ties with Hogan and remove him from the Hall of Fame, although he was reinstated in 2018 after apologizing.
Brooke defended her father then, even writing a poem on Facebook. But by 2023, their relationship had fallen apart. In a March 2025 Instagram post, Brooke said she had gone no contact with both of her parents due to “verbal and mental abuse.”
Her mother, Linda Hogan, later claimed the real fallout began after a major argument about eight years ago. Brooke, however, said there was no big fight, and she has criticized media outlets for misrepresenting her story. She also denied that her will rejection was only about the racism scandal.
Although Brooke turned down the estate, which includes trademarks, real estate, and other assets, she will receive a small amount from a life insurance trust, which she plans to save for her twins’ college fund. Brooke and her husband, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, welcomed the twins in January 2025.
In a July 29 Instagram post, Brooke explained that while their relationship was strained, their bond was “never broken.” She said she last spoke to her father in September 2023, when she urged him to take better care of his health. She was grateful their final words were “I love you.”
Today, Brooke focuses on her interior design business, BB Designs by Brooke, based in Nashville. She said her decision to leave the will was about protecting her peace, not revenge.
