Rapper GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Woods, was arrested on felony drug charges after police discovered marijuana and a controlled substance during a burglary investigation at her Georgia home.

The incident began on Saturday, July 20, when three suspects reportedly broke into GloRilla’s residence while she was away performing at the WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis. An occupant inside the home fired a weapon at the intruders, who fled the scene. No injuries were reported, and the suspects have not yet been identified or caught.

While investigating the burglary, Forsyth County deputies reported smelling a strong odor of narcotics inside the house. A search warrant was issued, and a drug task force discovered a significant amount of marijuana in plain sight inside the master bedroom closet.

GloRilla was not present during the break-in but turned herself in to the Forsyth County Jail on Tuesday, July 22. She was released the same day after posting a $22,260 bond.

On social media, the 24-year-old rapper expressed her frustration, writing:

“CRAZY [!!] My House got Home Invaded Saturday While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA all star game & instead of Focusing on finding the Suspects, they focus on some cannabis.”

Her attorneys, Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg, echoed her concerns, saying that law enforcement should prioritize the home invasion, where GloRilla is the victim, rather than pursuing charges over marijuana possession.

The burglary investigation remains ongoing, with no suspects in custody at this time.
