Cause of Death Confirmed for Prince William and Prince Harry’s Cousin Rosie Roche

Rosie Roche, the 20-year-old cousin of Princes William and Harry, died from a traumatic head injury, British news outlets reported on Tuesday. The information comes from the Wiltshire and Swindon coroner.

Roche was found dead last week in her home in England. Her mother and sister reportedly discovered her body, and a gun was found nearby. Police have described the death as “non-suspicious” with “no third-party involvement,” suggesting that authorities believe she may have taken her own life.

Rosie Roche was a student at Durham University, where she was studying English Literature. She was the grandchild of Princess Diana’s uncle, making her a distant cousin of the princes.

An obituary published by the Yorkshire Post described Roche as an “incredible sister” to her two siblings. A private funeral and memorial service will be held for her family.
