At a recent Sports Illustrated All-Star after-party, WNBA standout Courtney Williams took matters into her own hands — and her ears — when Diplo’s EDM setlist wasn’t quite hitting the right notes.
The scene was equal parts hilarious and bold as Courtney, fresh off a strong 13-point, 5-assist performance in the 2025 WNBA All-Star game, marched right up to the world-famous DJ and started dropping hip hop requests like a coach calling plays.
Diplo, a veteran in the DJ game, seemed a bit caught off guard, trying to keep up with the on-the-fly song demands. But eventually, he switched gears — much to Courtney’s delight. The crowd quickly got the memo and cheered as Diplo played GloRilla’s “TGIF,” with Courtney happily vibing front and center.
Never one to take it personally, Diplo later shared a clip of Courtney jamming to the track, proving even legendary DJs can learn a thing or two from basketball stars.
One can only imagine if Diplo showed up on the court demanding Courtney drop 30 points like fellow WNBA star Napheesa Collier — now that would be a real power move.
