Netflix has announced the release date for Season 2 of its popular young adult drama series My Life With the Walter Boys. The new season will debut on Thursday, August 28.

The announcement was made by the show’s stars—Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, and Ashby Gentry—at the Calgary Stampede in Canada, where the series is filmed. Alongside the announcement, Netflix also released three new images from the upcoming season.

Season 2 picks up after the lead character Jackie (played by Nikki Rodriguez) returns to Silver Falls following a summer in New York City. Caught between complicated feelings involving Alex (Ashby Gentry), who drunkenly confessed his love, Will’s wedding, and Cole’s (Noah LaLonde) kiss, Jackie wants to make amends and find balance in her life.

Alex has changed over the summer and focuses on training for a rodeo event, enjoying his newfound attention. Meanwhile, Cole faces challenges in his new role at school, struggling with old habits. Jackie tries to fit back into Silver Falls but must carefully manage her relationships and priorities to avoid losing everything she has worked for.

The series is based on the book by Ali Novak, who recently published a sequel novel titled My Return With the Walter Boys. However, Season 2 of the show will follow a different storyline from the books. The show has already been renewed for a third season.

Melanie Halsall serves as showrunner and executive producer, with Ed Glauser and Becky Hartman Edwards also executive producing. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television, International Production, and iGeneration Studios.

The full cast includes Marc Blucas, Connor Stanhope, Corey Fogelmanis, Jaylan Evans, Isaac Arellanes, Myles Perez, Alex Quijano, Ashley Tavares, Dean Petriw, Alix West Lefler, Lennix James, Alisha Newton, Ellie O’Brien, Kolton Stewart, Mya Lowe, Gabrielle Jacinto, Jesse Lipscombe, Nathaniel Arcand, Natalie Sharp, Carson MacCormac, Janet Kidder, Riele Downs, and Jake Manley.
