FX has officially renewed “The Bear” for a fifth season, just days after Season 4 premiered on June 25, 2025. The popular kitchen drama will continue despite mixed reviews for its latest season.
Season 5 Details
Season 5 is expected to premiere in 2026, likely in late June. The show typically releases all 10 episodes at once on the premiere date.
The main cast will return for Season 5. Jeremy Allen White (Carmy), Ayo Edebiri (Sydney), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Richie) are all set to come back. Supporting cast members include Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Oliver Platt, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson.
Season 4 ended with a major cliffhanger and an important decision by Carmy. This leaves plenty of story material for Season 5 to explore the challenges of running the restaurant.
FX Shows Confidence
FX chairman John Landgraf praised the series and creator Christopher Storer. He called it “one of the best shows on television” and said he was excited to continue the story.
The show continues to have high viewership numbers and remains popular with fans worldwide, even though Season 4 received mixed reviews compared to earlier seasons.
Potential Challenges
The renewal comes with some scheduling concerns. Lead actors have growing commitments to other major projects. Jeremy Allen White is set to play Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming biopic. Ebon Moss-Bachrach is involved in major Marvel productions.
Despite these challenges, FX’s confidence in the series secured the quick renewal after Season 4’s debut.
The Emmy-winning series will continue exploring high-stakes kitchen drama and complex character relationships in Season 5.
