In a surprise twist at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, UK rap icon Skepta stepped in for American rock band Deftones, who pulled out at the last minute. Skepta had just four hours’ notice before hitting the stage in front of an estimated 100,000 fans.
Despite the short preparation time, Skepta delivered a powerful, high-energy performance that’s already being hailed as the highlight of the entire weekend.
Fans flooded social media with praise, calling Skepta’s set “unreal” and “legendary.” Some even crowned him “the GOAT” (Greatest of All Time).
“He had the crowd in the palm of his hand,” one festivalgoer said. “No one expected it, and he absolutely smashed it.”
