Drake and T-Pain Feud? Rapper Says Auto-Tune Star Holds a Grudge

Drake has responded to T-Pain’s recent comments suggesting the rapper has failed to follow his own advice about knowing when to step away from music. In a surprise clapback, Drake claimed that the Auto-Tune pioneer has “always had resentment” toward him.

T-Pain made the remarks during a recent interview, reflecting on artists overstaying their welcome in the industry. He said Drake once told him he wanted to “gracefully bow out” of music when the time was right—but now behaves differently.

“He’s the person that he said he didn’t want to be,” T-Pain said. “Drake always wants one more shot, one more song. He doesn’t know when to stop.”

Drake didn’t stay silent for long. In an Instagram comment, he fired back:

“This guy always had resentment for me 😂. You can hear it every time he speaks on my name.”

The response has sparked debate among fans, especially since the two artists have shown mutual respect in the past. Drake has previously called T-Pain a major influence on his melodic style, while T-Pain praised Drake’s early work.

The two have never officially collaborated on a full track but did appear together on DJ Khaled’s “I’m on One” in 2011. Both artists also have strong ties to Lil Wayne, who played a key role in their careers.

T-Pain has yet to respond to Drake’s latest remarks.
