Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 will take place tomorrow, June 9. The company plans to announce new software updates and some hardware changes.
Apple may change the names of its operating systems. Instead of iOS 19 and iPadOS 19, the company might call them iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 to match the year 2026.
iOS 26 will have a new look with round app icons, transparent menus, and floating buttons. The design will be similar across all Apple devices. AI technology will help improve battery life and power the Shortcuts app.
The iPad will get better multitasking features and a new calligraphy mode for the Apple Pencil.
macOS, likely named Tahoe, will match the new design and add a gaming app and better AirPods features.
watchOS and tvOS will also get new designs and AirPods live translation. Apple TV will include the new gaming app.
VisionOS might add eye-scrolling and support new controllers.
Apple will expand AI translation to all devices and add live translation for phone calls and texts.
On the hardware side, Apple will show a redesigned Mac Pro, replacing the old “cheese grater” design.
HomePod will get a display, better Siri integration, and new AI features for home automation.
AirTags will get updates, but details are not clear yet.
New AirPods are unlikely, but they might get new features like head gestures, music auto-pause, camera controls, and improved microphones.
