Severance Season 2 First Look

Severance Season 3 Coming to Apple TV+ — Writing Already Underway

Apple has officially renewed the hit show Severance for a third season. The announcement came soon after the season 2 finale aired earlier this year.

Severance is Apple TV+’s most popular show, even beating Ted Lasso in viewership. The creative team began working on season 3 before Apple gave its official approval.

Ben Stiller, one of the show’s producers, said the writing team is currently working on season 3 in Los Angeles. He also hired Beau Willimon, the creator of House of Cards, to help with the new season. Willimon contributed to the last part of season 2 and is expected to have a strong influence on season 3.

The show has faced delays in the past because of production problems and high costs. The gap between seasons 1 and 2 was nearly three years. Stiller hopes the wait for season 3 will be shorter but warns it still may take some time.

Realistically, Severance season 3 will likely arrive on Apple TV+ in 2027. The earliest possible release could be late 2026.

Apple TV+ costs $9.99 per month. Along with Severance, it offers popular shows like Ted Lasso and The Morning Show.
