Hotel Security Supervisor Testifies About Cassie Beating Video in Diddy Trial

On Day 15 of Sean Combs’ (Diddy) trial, Eddy Garcia, the security supervisor at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016, took the witness stand to discuss the surveillance footage related to the assault on singer Cassie Ventura.

Garcia initially invoked his Fifth Amendment right but was later granted immunity in exchange for truthful testimony. He admitted he did not recognize Diddy or Cassie when first watching the March 2016 footage. He said no police were called and Cassie did not ask for medical help.

The court heard that Kristina Khorram, Diddy’s former chief of staff, requested the video footage. Garcia told her he lacked authority to provide it and advised her to get a subpoena.

Garcia recounted receiving nervous phone calls from Diddy and Khorram, with Diddy expressing concern that the video would ruin his career. Diddy allegedly offered to “take care” of Garcia, implying financial compensation, to obtain what seemed to be the only copy of the surveillance video.

The testimony revealed Diddy’s urgent efforts to control the footage and prevent its release.

Earlier in the session, a woman shouting support for Diddy was removed from the courtroom after disrupting proceedings.
