Netflix has officially wrapped filming for Season 2 of ‘One Piece’, the live-action series based on the hit manga by Eiichiro Oda. The new season brings back the core Straw Hat crew and introduces several fan-favorite characters, including the beloved reindeer doctor Tony Tony Chopper.
Filming took place in South Africa, where the returning cast, including Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji), reunited. Creator Eiichiro Oda also visited the set and praised the atmosphere and casting.
Season 2 will follow the crew as they enter the Grand Line, exploring key story arcs like Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, and Drum Island. Oda confirmed that Chopper will debut this season, along with major new characters like Dr. Kureha and Dr. Hiriluk.

Season 1 of ‘One Piece’ was a global success, reaching No. 1 in 46 countries and gaining over 37.8 million views in two weeks. With strong reviews and a growing fanbase, Season 2 is one of Netflix’s most anticipated returns.
There is no official release date yet, but fans can expect a thrilling continuation of the Straw Hats’ journey. Oda asks viewers to stay patient while the final touches are made.
