NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 5080 SUPER has leaked, revealing some key specs that hint at a powerful upgrade focused on memory.
According to well-known leaker Kopite7kimi, the RTX 5080 SUPER will feature the same core count as the current RTX 5080, with 10,752 CUDA cores. This is surprising since previous “SUPER” models often included more cores.
The biggest upgrade lies in memory. The RTX 5080 SUPER will come with 24GB of GDDR7 memory, up from 16GB on the RTX 5080. It will use the latest 32 Gbps GDDR7 modules, making it the fastest memory speed for this series so far. This boosts the memory bandwidth beyond 1,024 GB/s, surpassing the RTX 5080’s 960 GB/s.
Power consumption is expected to rise due to this memory upgrade, with a total power draw over 400 watts, about 40W higher than the RTX 5080.
No official release date is known yet, but rumors suggest NVIDIA might launch this refresh sooner than expected, possibly before the last quarter of 2025. The RTX 5080 SUPER looks set to offer gamers more memory and bandwidth without increasing the GPU core count.
