Apple is preparing to unveil major design changes across all of its software platforms at WWDC 2025, starting June 9. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the redesigns will affect iOS 19, iPadOS 19, macOS 16, watchOS, tvOS, and even visionOS.

The updates will introduce a new, unified design language featuring transparency, glass-like textures, and refreshed icons. Apple aims to bring all its operating systems closer in look and feel, improving consistency across devices.

The Apple Watch and Apple TV will see some of the biggest changes. While the Apple Watch software has changed over time, tvOS has looked nearly the same since 2015. The new design will likely bring it in line with iOS and other Apple platforms.

Some of the new design ideas are inspired by visionOS, the operating system used in the Apple Vision Pro headset. That platform already features a glassy, layered look, which Apple now wants to extend across all devices.

These changes mark Apple’s biggest visual update since iOS 7 launched in 2013.

Apple will reveal the updates during its WWDC keynote on June 9 at 10 AM Pacific Time. Stay tuned for full coverage of the event.
