Coreweave, the Nvidia-backed cloud services provider, has officially signed a new deal with OpenAI worth up to $4 billion, according to a regulatory filing made on Thursday.

The agreement ensures that OpenAI will pay Coreweave for cloud infrastructure services through April 2029.

During its post-earnings call on Wednesday, Coreweave mentioned a $4 billion expansion with a major AI customer but did not name the company.

The filing now confirms that OpenAI is the client behind this massive commitment.

The deal marks a significant deepening of the partnership between the two fast-growing players in the AI sector.

Coreweave’s high-performance cloud infrastructure is expected to support OpenAI’s continued scale, particularly for models like ChatGPT and other generative AI tools.
