One UI 7.0 has brought several exciting updates to the Samsung camera app, and there’s one video recording feature that’s worth trying. This new version of the camera interface comes with a redesigned layout, offering a more streamlined and intuitive experience.
The camera app now features a clearer viewport preview, making it easier to focus while capturing both photos and videos. One of the standout changes is the reorganization of the mode selection menu, which no longer takes up a large portion of the screen, allowing more space for the viewfinder.
However, one hidden gem is the zoom control that appears when you begin recording a video. By default, the camera shows the usual zoom buttons, but once you tap the record button, a magnifying glass icon appears. This icon reveals a zoom slider just above the capture button, offering a smoother and more intuitive zoom experience.
The zoom slider works differently from the regular zoom buttons. It has positive and negative markings to increase or decrease zoom, and it responds to how long you hold the slider, giving you precise control over zoom levels. This feature may seem tricky at first, but with a bit of practice, you’ll find it becomes a go-to tool for video recording.
Compared to the traditional zoom buttons, this slider offers more freedom, with no numeric constraints and a smoother zoom transition. It’s an incredibly useful addition for anyone looking to elevate their video recording game on One UI 7.0 devices.
