Taylor Swift has been subpoenaed in the legal dispute over the film It Ends With Us. The case centers on script changes made by actress Blake Lively, who stars in the movie.
According to the lawsuit, Lively invited director Justin Baldoni to her New York home in 2023 to discuss changes to a rooftop scene. When he arrived, he found Lively’s husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, and their friend Taylor Swift present.
Text messages included in the case show that Swift and Reynolds supported Lively’s version of the scene. Baldoni claims they pressured him to approve the changes.
In one message, Lively called Swift and Reynolds her “dragons,” referencing Game of Thrones. She suggested they were helping her fight for the changes she wanted.

Although Baldoni later praised Lively’s edits, tensions continued. He reportedly sent her a long voice message apologizing if he upset her.
Swift’s spokesperson said the subpoena is only meant to stir up publicity. The rep stated that Swift had no creative role in the film. She didn’t work on the movie, wasn’t involved in casting or writing, and didn’t see it until weeks after its release.
The only official connection Swift has with the film is allowing the use of her song “My Tears Ricochet.”
Representatives for Lively and Baldoni have not commented on the case.
