The NFL is reportedly nearing a deal with YouTube to broadcast its September 5 game in Brazil, where the Los Angeles Chargers will be the home team.

YouTube, owned by Google, already carries the NFL Sunday Ticket, the league’s out-of-region game platform, along with the popular NFL RedZone channel.

While YouTube does not currently produce NFL broadcasts in-house, production agreements will need to be finalized for the Week 1 game, which will be a significant step in the league’s ongoing push towards streaming.

In the past, the NFL has partnered with platforms like Amazon, Netflix, and Peacock for international games, with Peacock also broadcasting last year’s Brazil game featuring a thrilling 34-29 win by the Philadelphia Eagles over the Green Bay Packers.

This potential partnership marks another milestone in the NFL’s global expansion, making it accessible to fans in Brazil and beyond through digital streaming.

Keep an eye out for more details as the agreement moves forward.
