A K-Drama called Queen of Tears has become a massive hit on Netflix, surpassing even Squid Game Season 2 in hours watched for 2024.
While Squid Game Season 2 attracted 619 million hours, Queen of Tears reached an impressive 860.4 million hours, making it the second most-watched Netflix TV show of the year, only behind Bridgerton Season 3.
The series, which has a perfect 100% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, is a romance-comedy about a queen of department stores and her husband navigating a marital crisis.
Although the show’s audience score is slightly lower at 71%, it still stands out as a fan favorite. Queen of Tears is now the most-watched K-Drama on Netflix and has beaten Crash Landing on You as the highest-rated tvN series.
The show features 16 episodes, with each episode running between 80 to 90 minutes, except for the finale, which is nearly two hours long.
Starring Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Ji-won, and Park Sung-hoon, the series has captured the attention of viewers worldwide, and it is currently available to stream on Netflix.
For those new to K-Dramas, Queen of Tears is an excellent starting point for diving into the genre.
