The new compilation movie “Attack on Titan: The Last Attack” features an unexpected post-credits scene that has fans talking. The scene shows main characters Eren, Mikasa, and Armin in a modern setting, watching what appears to be their own story as a film.
In the scene, the characters look different from how fans know them – Armin wears glasses and nerdy shirts, Mikasa has a goth style, and Eren is portrayed as a loner. After watching the movie, they discuss whether Titans really existed 100 years ago or if the story was just fiction.
This surprise ending connects to “Attack on School Castes,” a parody comic that creator Hajime Isayama included at the end of his manga volumes. The parody showed the characters as normal high school students.
The post-credits scene suggests the main “Attack on Titan” story eventually became a legend in its own universe, with future generations learning about the events through movies.
Released in February 2025, “Attack on Titan: The Last Attack” combines the final two episodes of the anime series, which ended in 2023. The original ending showed Eren Jaeger causing a genocide that killed 80% of humanity before being stopped by his friends.
The scene gives fans one final moment with beloved characters while referencing the divided fan reactions to the series finale.
