Samsung is preparing to launch two new 5G smartphones in India: the Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G. The company recently released a teaser, giving a first look at the design of these upcoming devices.
The launch date has not been confirmed yet, but the smartphones will be available on Amazon after their release.
Samsung Confirms Galaxy M16 and M06 Design
The teaser image shows the Galaxy M16 5G with a triple rear camera setup. The cameras are arranged vertically inside a pill-shaped module. The larger slot holds two lenses, while a smaller cutout houses the third.
There is also a circular LED flash placed outside the camera module. This design is similar to previous leaks. For reference, the Galaxy M15 5G has a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor.
On the other hand, the Galaxy M06 5G appears to have two cameras on the back, following the design of its predecessor.
The Galaxy M05 features a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro sensor, and an 8MP selfie camera. One big upgrade for the M06 is its 5G connectivity, which was missing in the previous model.
Expected Specs and Performance
The Galaxy M16 5G was recently spotted on Geekbench with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. A new report suggests that both the M16 5G and M06 5G will use this chip, making them faster than last year’s models.
For comparison, the Galaxy M15 5G has the Dimensity 6100+, while the M05 runs on the Helio G85.
The upgrade to the Dimensity 6300 could improve performance and 5G support for budget-conscious buyers. However, this information is still based on leaks, so it should be taken with caution.
Samsung Expands Its Budget 5G Lineup
The Galaxy M-series has been a popular choice for users looking for affordable smartphones with good features. Both the M16 5G and M06 5G are expected to offer flat designs and incremental upgrades over previous models.
With their 5G support and improved performance, these phones could be great options for budget buyers in India. More details about the official launch and pricing are expected soon.
