Apple iPhone SE 4: Launch Date Confirmed, Big Changes Expected

Apple February 19 Events

Apple has officially confirmed a major product launch for Wednesday, February 19, and all signs point to the unveiling of the much-anticipated iPhone SE 4.

Apple CEO Tim Cook teased the event with a cryptic post on X, saying, “Get ready to meet the newest member of the family.”

While the name wasn’t mentioned, industry experts strongly believe this refers to the next-generation iPhone SE.

A New Look and Powerful Features

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPhone SE 4 will bring big upgrades, including a design similar to the iPhone 14.

If true, this would be the first SE model to feature Face ID and a larger display, replacing the long-standing Home button and Touch ID.

This marks a major shift, as it would be the first time since 2007 that no iPhone features a Home button.

Another major highlight is Apple Intelligence, which is expected to be included in the SE 4. The phone will reportedly use the A18 chip, currently set to debut in the iPhone 16.

This means the SE 4 could be much more powerful than previous models, making it a budget-friendly but high-performance option.

Apple’s First In-House Modem?

Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that the iPhone SE 4 may be the first iPhone to use Apple’s in-house modem, rather than relying on Qualcomm.

This would be a significant shift in Apple’s strategy and could have big implications for future iPhones.

A New Name for the SE?

There is also speculation that Apple may rebrand the SE line altogether. Mark Gurman noted that Cook’s wording about a “newest member” might hint at a fresh name, possibly iPhone 16E. If true, this would signal a major departure from the traditional SE branding.

What’s Next?

Apple has not yet confirmed when the iPhone SE 4 will go on sale, but based on past releases, it could be available within days or weeks of the announcement.

With a bigger display, Face ID, Apple Intelligence, and a powerful new chip, this could be the biggest update to the iPhone SE series yet.

Apple fans won’t have to wait long—the big reveal happens on February 19.
