CoMix Wave Films, the studio behind beloved anime films such as Your Name and Weathering With You, has announced the release of a new Pokémon anime titled Dragonite and the Postman. The film will premiere on February 27 in celebration of Pokémon Day.
Directed by Taku Kimura, who has worked on notable projects like Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, the film follows Hana, a young girl who admires a Dragonite postman.

The movie features the art direction of Tasuku Watanabe and a soundtrack by Evan Call, who composed the music for Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. The theme song, “Paper Plane,” is performed by suis from yorushika.
Dragonite and the Postman will be available to stream on the official Pokémon YouTube channel starting at 12 a.m. JST on February 27.
